The exit points of the Lauterbrunnen are generally speaking not good for beginner base jumpers. The jumps are relatively low compared to the bigwalls like Monte Brento or Kjerag and you need to be a good tracker to gain enough distance from the walls to have a safe opening. Its a playround for intermediate and experienced basejumpers that already have a bit of terminal base experience under their belt. However the jumps in Lauterbrunnen still vary a lot when it comes to difficulty and technical details. Some of the jumps require some serious subterminal tracking skills to be able to clear the underhung walls. Also there is a lot of air traffic like paragliding, speedflying and helicopters flying in and out of the valley on busy summerdays. You can find all the information that you need online these days, but we think its much better to have a chat with some experienced local jumpers face to face before you head out to the exit points. For more information just stop by Basepoint..
